Bambi takes Movember to a whole new level… – 08.12.14

9 12 2014

I took these photos from a window in my office building… I really can’t recall having seen this “moustache” on Bambi’s before, but after a Google search it seems to be the most plausible option… maybe it is part of their winter colorization, I have to research more… 🙂

Dublin, Ireland – 14.-16.11.14

19 11 2014

Long time, no blog… well, it hasn’t exactly happened a lot worthy blogging, but last weekend, I went on a short (too short..) trip to Dublin, capital of Ireland. Wifey left for Poland with her girl-friends, and I thought to myself, why stay home alone instead of fulfilling a long time dream of mine, Ireland with singe-malt Whiskey, dark beer, folk-music and street photography…

It turned out that I barely achieved any one of those goals, but don’t misinterpret this to think I feel that the trip was a failure… everything most probably happens for a reason, but it turned out that this exact weekend it was a national game in soccer between Ireland and Scotland… well, go figure, the city center was loaded with people, no tables to sit down after 3pm, no room to move for a guy with a rucksack full of camera equipment, and all bars and pubs too full to wake my interest to go in after 7pm… adding to list, this is late November, sun is setting at 4pm with good weather, and my old Leica M8(.2) doesn’t appreciate me to turn up the ISO… sounds like a disaster, considering my initial goals, but to sum it all up, it was really a quite pleasant weekend… had some time alone, did some cleaning in my brain, and of course did achieve to take some pictures, I hope they will exhibit some of the atmosphere I enjoyed after all:

Home alone – 19.-21.09.14

20 09 2014

Home alone and time to spare… felt a little creative with these rock formations… I like the abstract patterns…

Andorsrud – 31.08.14

A couple of photos from our trip with Pifa today… nothing special, but a nice trip and some nice sceneries…

And by this we bid farewell to August… 🙂

New travelmate! :-)

25 06 2014

Well, a couple of days ago, I fulfilled a dream born when I was a student… I naturally didn’t have enough money at that time, but the dream never died… it went to sleep when the digital era started, I haven’t shot a roll of film in at least 15 years I believe, but lately the nostalgia has bitten me… don’t know why, don’t know how, don’t really care… 😀

As a student I had a brochure of a Leica M6, it is well-read and studied, and I was really fascinated about everything except the price… ;-P

A couple of days ago, I came across a used one for a price I could live with, the owner I bought it from had bought it from a famous British document- and war-photographer, Marcus Bleasdale (http://www.marcusbleasdale.com/), so I believe this camera has seen it’s fare share of misery (judging by his photos..)… among other places, it has been used a lot to document the conflicts in Congo and Africa…

First Black&White roll is almost at the end of the road, I am excited to get it processed and see the results… 🙂

Let’s just hope the bug isn’t biting harder… evolving from a user to a collector sounds expensive… ;-P

The National Day – Norwegian Constitution Day – 17th of May

We were celebrating the National Day of Norway in Oslo together with my brother and his better half, and as a nice bonus, it was the 200 years anniversary since our constitution were formed in 1814.

Here are some picture to show the massive amount of people attending the show:

Restructuring my project…

1 05 2014

Well, my last post was about my new project, to see how long time it would take me to photograph 100 different wild animals,  but I found out that I can not make one and one post, it will be very difficult for everybody to keep track… so I moved the project to a new page, then everything related to the project will be in the same place:

Restructure

Stay tuned for more wild animals..! 😀

Bad weather coming in… – 13.03.14

13 03 2014

Took a couple of photos on the way to work today… a very nice mixture of light, fog, light-rays and shadows…

Used my newly bought 15mm f4.5 Voigtlander SuperWide Heliar ASPHII for the sea photo and my Elmarit 24mm for the trail photo. The sun-through-the-tree was taken with my 75mm f1.8 Voigtländer Heliar Classic lens.
