Infrared (IR) photos – 16.06.13
17 06 2013Apart from the economical side of buying M8 instead of M9 etc, the M8 and M8.2 has another big advantage. It has a very reduced IR filter in front of the sensor. This means that the M8 is very suitable for taking IR-photos.
So a couple of days ago, the IR filter I purchased very cheap on ebay finally arrived, and I have been playing with it the whole week-end. It is very interesting to think of that none of what are seen in these pictures are visible with the naked eye..! 🙂
The filter which I bought is completely dark, looking through it with your naked eye you can’t see anything, it is blocking all visible light up to 950nm.

Saturday evening… home alone…
11 05 2013A couple of beers and a nice Tequila… looking through some old dusty boxes and found my grandfathers old camera… I really don’t know much about it, it’s an Agfa Billy Record, and it uses 120 roll film for 6x9cm frames… It is surely not worth much, in money, but I think it is a cool old object… it is most probably made between 1933 and 1942… it’s not going back in the box… I’ll put it on display in a drawer… (at least until my wife comes home…) 🙂
While at it, here is a “family shot”, my grandpa’s camera together with my fathers old Leica M3 and my newly acquired Leica M8.2:
